Review By: Matt Clements from cruisefinder.com.au Athens to Istanbul May 2007

Why this particular cruise? I wanted to experience cruising on a different level and discover the pleasures of small luxury yacht cruising.
Where did the cruise go? The cruise departed Athens and we visited some Greek islands such as Mykonos, Patmos and Milos. We also visited Kusadasi before arriving in Istanbul.
Did the ship measure up to your expectations? Very much so, I was very impressed by the personal service from the crew members, the organization of the shore excursions and the ship was very well designed with large public areas. Fantastic!
What were the cabins like? Seabourn Legend is an all suite vessel and offer very spacious suites with large lounge areas and walk in closet. They offer all the necessary facilities and more such as flat TV screens, Boss surround sound systems and a stocked fridge to your likings. The marble bathrooms are also very spacious with double vanity, bath tub and shower and come with Molton Brown and L'Occitane amenities.
What was the food like? The menu’s onboard Seabourn Legend are created by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer. The menu is peppered with regional specialties from the places they visit. They had different dining options to cater for the mood you were in from fine dining in the main ‘restaurant2’ to casual dining in the ‘Veranda Café’ specialty BBQ buffet theme nights or if you wish room service.
What were the ships facilities like? Excellent! They had a main restaurant for fine dining plus a more casual cafe. Sun deck bar where they served up some mean cocktails. 2 Piano bars & lounges with Casino. Plus a theatre where they had live entertainment. Plus an onboard day spa and complete fitness centre.
What was the best aspect of the ship/cruise? It was very intimate, relaxing and the all inclusive drinks. Plus this cruise was a virtuoso voyager sailing and I was lucky enough to receive a private invite to an onboard cocktail party and a private classical concert preformed at Ephesus in Kusadasi. This is just some of the benefits you receive when you book with cruisefinder as we are a valued virtuoso agent.
Who would a Seabourn cruise appeal to? For couples who want complete relaxation and pampering. Not really suitable for children.
