Top accolade for Yachts of Seabourn
The Yachts of Seabourn has once again won accolades from the discerning readers of Travel + Leisure magazine. The upscale publication has released the results of its annual “World’s Best” readers’ poll, and Seabourn’s fleet of five intimate, all-suite vessels has again earned top honors as the 2010 World’s Best Small-Ship Cruise Line, outscoring all ocean-going cruise lines regardless of size. Seabourn has won the award in 2006, 2007, 2009 and now 2010. “We are always gratified when our guests make the effort to award this honor to the staff on board our yachts,” said Seabourn’s President & CEO, Pamela C. Conover. “I always tell them they are the best,” she continued, “but I know it means so much more coming from the guests themselves. I really want to thank Travel + Leisure for giving their readers the opportunity to cast their votes for our outstanding crew.” In 2009, Seabourn began a three-year, three-vessel fleet expansion with the launch of the 450-guest Seabourn Odyssey, which was hailed as “a game-changer for the luxury segment.” This year, the second new yacht of the class, Seabourn Sojourn, debuted in early June to rave reviews from professional critics and cruising guests. The third sister, Seabourn Quest, will join the fleet in June of 2011. The company’s total guest capacity will have increased by over 200 per cent.
